STEPHANIE CLARKE
Stephanie Clarke is a Registered Dietitian (RD) who holds a Master of Science in Nutrition Communications from Tufts University School of Nutrition Science and Policy. Stephanie completed a two-year dietetic internship at Tufts-New England Medical Center where she counseled and treated patients with variety of conditions. She has worked at a women's fitness center, where she provided nutrition counseling, specialized meal plans, and behavioral support to female clients of all ages. She specializes in behavioral and motivational nutrition counseling, applying this technique to weight loss, preventative health, sports nutrition, and the management of chronic diseases.
Stephanie has also worked with a private high school to create healthful cafeteria selections, and delivered nutrition education seminars on healthy eating, meal planning, body image, and sports nutrition. She feels that communicating sound nutrition information is critical, whether through individual counseling, writing, or changing the outside environment. Her writing has been published in consumer magazines, local newspapers, and a peer-reviewed nutrition journal.
Stephanie's practical, personalized approach helps optimize her client's health through nutrition. By combining her scientific, clinical, and counseling training, she is able to translate complex information into something that her clients can understand, and apply, to their increasingly busy lives.
Stephanie is an active member of the American Dietetic Association (ADA), Dietitians in Business and Communications, and Weight Management practice groups. Stephanie was a competitive gymnast starting at age nine and competed for the University of Rhode Island Division I gymnastics team as a scholarship athlete. In her spare time, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, biking, enjoying the outdoors, and getting coffee or tea with friends.
