Barenaked Ladies performing live at the Treehouse Social Club

TREEHOUSE SOCIAL CLUB TEAMS UP WITH BABY2BABY FOR A GOOD CAUSE

- Karis Jagger, Baby2Baby Co-Founder

The Treehouse Social Club hosted an amazing fun filled evening Tuesday, June 10th starring the Barenaked Ladies. A portion of the proceeds went to Baby2Baby. Baby2Baby supplies Los Angeles families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for  their children 0-4 years old.  We distribute new and gently used items through a network of community based organizations.

It was a members only evening. A few celebs were there with their kids in tow, Eric McCormack, Kelly Carlson, Kristy Swanson, Joely Fisher, Mark Hoppus... Before the Barenaked Ladies performed, we were treated to some delicious eats. Good food for adults and kiddies alike. The kids got to munch on Chinese chicken salad and the crowd pleaser, gigantic green popcorn balls. Mmm delicious!

Party Layne did their excellent spin art albums. If you’ve never seen them, you get to put an old record on a turntable and then paint it. Takes you back to the 70s and the kiddies get a very cool album to take home. I realized my kids actually had no idea what a record was but they enjoyed the activity just the same. They also got to make backstage passes from guitar picks  and some laminates. Barenaked Ladies played a great set. It was a huge treat to see them in such a small venue. The kids were rocking out to all the new songs from the Snacktime album. My kids loved “7,8,9”, my fave was “Bad Day” It is not often your kids get to see an amazin concert up a treehouse in Beverly Hills. If you don’t have the album, you should definitely go out and buy it.

To round up the evening, Tricia Fisher encouraged the members in the audience to donate to Baby2Baby. We hope you will too.
