CAMP RONALD MCDONALD FOR GOOD TIMES 16TH ANNUAL FAMILY HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL
We are always delighted & flattered when we are invited to participate in various family events, … especially when there is an element of giving back involved. When we had an opportunity to partner with Whole Foods at the Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times 16th Annual Family Halloween Carnival on the back lot of Universal Studios, we jumped at the chance! The camp is a cost-free sleep-away facility for children with cancer & their families. The organization provides fun, friendships & a place where spirits can be renewed & hope regained.
As you may know by now, Tastybaby® has become known, not only for our yummy products, but for the delicious recipes we come up with for turning our healthy & nutritious purées into lots of tempting treats. At the event, we highlighted our Squash ‘Em® flavor, since squash & pumpkin seemed tailor-made for the Halloween theme. We served up refreshing Squash 'Em® Ice Cream Sandwiches & Squash 'Em® Pumpkin Bread (click here for recipes!)
All our fans, including celebrities & children of all ages were sent off with a Tasty eco-tote, recipes & a new perspective on baby food.” Tony-winning actress Marissa Jaret Winokur & her adorable 3-month-old baby boy, Zev, were among the many moms who came over to see what the lively commotion at the Tastybaby® booth was all about. Even hip teenagers, Dylan & Cole Sprouse, of the Disney Channel’s “Suite Life of Zack & Cody,” weren’t too cool to indulge in our tasty treats! The canival was so much fun, with lots of fun games and more rides than the kids knew what to do with!
And from Liane & Shannan, here’s a special shout-out to our wonderful helper, Bunmi, who kept a beaming smile on her face all day long, greeting guests with great enthusiasm, hour after hour, in spite of the unseasonable warm (around 95 degrees!) weather. Thanks, Bunmi … you rock!!
