TASTYBABY COMES TO LIFE

It has been almost two months now since I started feeding my little boy, Sonny (now 8 months), Tastybaby food. He has quickly become our biggest fan!  I started with “Squash ‘Em,” “Life’s a Peach” and “Hip 2B Pear,” our Stage ! foods for babies Sonny’s age.  Each day he got the hang of it a little better.  I am way more comfortable feeding him than I was with my daughter, Louisa. We have since moved into our Stage 2 flavors: “Sweetie Pie,” “Peas on Earth,” “Bollywood Baby” and his personal favorite, “Bangos”.  Honestly, he is so excited to eat that he cries while he is waiting for me to take off the shrink band.  His eyes light up and he even bangs his feet!  

We have developed our own little routine.  A typical day for Sonny is: for breakfast he has  “Life’s a Peach” and a little infant cereal to create a cobbler.  Lunch is “Sweetie Pie” and “Hip 2B Pear.”  For a mid-afternoon snack, he has “Bangos,” of course!  He finishes off the day with “Bollywood Baby” and, depending on his mood, “Peas on Earth” or “Squash ‘Em.

I pop out of bed with excitement to feed Sonny “the fruits of my labors.”  I have never felt such a sense of satisfaction in the joy of being a parent as I do this time around.  The most unexpected part of this experience is that my daughter, Louisa, is enjoying feeding Sonny, too.  She tests all of the baby food to make sure it is the right temperature for him.  She gives her taste-test as well. The best part is that our food is not only for babies … Louisa BEGS for Tastybaby!  I overheard my husband the other night saying, “Louisa, you can’t ONLY have baby food for dinner!”  Maybe it is because she is proud of me, but hopefully it’s because she loves it! 

Either way, my children are getting the best start in life because of something that my partner, Liane and I created. They are learning that eating healthy can taste great AND make you feel good. I can’t wait to get in the kitchen to start developing new stages and flavors. You can be sure that I will have two taste-testers who will be more than willing to go along for the ride!
