DEAR SHANNAN,

Although we see each other every day, we’re usually too busy to sit down to chat, so I decided to write you a letter on the occasion of Tastybaby.com’s anniversary.  I hope you don’t mind that I’m posting it in lieu of a “blog” this month – somehow, that seemed only appropriate.

What I want to tell how proud I am of what we’ve created together.  I know that the concept of Tastybaby food & the idea of our lifestyle brand is much more than a year old, but it was this time last year that we launched our website, which was intended to embody everything we stand for as a company.  Our site is truly thriving today, and I think of it as a living, breathing creature which we nurture constantly … in many ways, Tastybaby.com is our child!

When I look at our site, I am delighted to see all the vibrancy & excitement we have for what we’re doing reflected in the colors & tone of the writing.  Our commitment to children’s causes, health, the environment, celebration of food & a general “tasty” attitude is all here.  It puts a smile on my face to see how my personality & yours – so compatible already – coexist here.  The part that makes me most proud is that more & more people are coming to Tastybaby.com every day, signing up as members, sending in photos & blogs … we must be doing something right!

So, in the spirit of the always-fabulous recipes you come up with for our readers, I’ve created one for you:

Recipe for a Tasty website:

1 cup heart-felt emotion
½ cup silliness & humor
Dash of activism
Large quantity of good advice from people we respect
Jumbo-size container of good taste (don’t spill a drop!)
Healthy doses of Tasty Blue, Tasty Red & Tasty Green colors

Mix everything together & nurture carefully for 1 year, stirring gently.  Repeatedly adjust ingredients to taste.  Serve warm.
